Former U.S. President Donald Trump may be banned from Twitter, but that hasn’t stopped the twice-impeached politician from communicating with his fanbase through the social platform via aide Liz Harrington.
Harrington essentially acts as a sock-puppet account for the former reality star, sharing Trump-like takes on current events and messages directly from the former politician. Most recently however, Harrington shared an all-caps message on behalf of her boss, criticising the “tragic mess in Afghanistan,” a “completely open and broken Border,” “oil prices through the roof,” and “inflation rising.” Noting the aforementioned, Trump went onto ask, “DO YOU MISS ME YET?”
Trump has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August (no that isn’t how it works but simply sharing the information). https://t.co/kaXSXKnpF0

Trump’s query was ironically shared on August 13, the exact day pro-Trump conspiracy theorists, like MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell (AKA “MyPillow Guy”), claimed he would be “reinstated.” Clearly, this did not happen, as Joe Biden is currently the President of the United States.

Either way, Twitter responded to Trump asking if people missed him with a resounding “no.”

Stop giving him a platform here. And NO, DO NOT MISS THE SOB! He lost the election. He is UNFIT to hold any office. https://t.co/zmZvt4DPfN

Like I miss a tape worm.

Many also addressed the murky ethics behind Trump clearly using Harrington as a Twitter ban loophole and were curious about how she’s even allowed to post on someone’s behalf when they’re banned.

STOP THIS!!!
You can’t circumvent a Twitter suspension by operating, or having someone else operate on your behalf, an account which represents your identity, persona, brand or business persona for a different purpose. https://t.co/WIKIQTaoO2
WHY HAS TWITTER NOT BANNED THIS SYCOPHANT!!!!!

Is Twitter part of the problem or part of the solution??? 🤬🤬🤬 https://t.co/s1aH8T3pcG
We would all like an answer to that question!

One individual did agree that gas prices feel a bit high, but was met with a pretty decent retort.
I’m OK with being alive to pay the gas prices

But there wasn’t much love lost.
Maybe best not to ask next time, Donald.
