Donald Trump has appeared to defend former White House aides who have been accused of domestic abuse, urging that "lives are being shattered by a mere allegation".
It comes after two senior members of his team resigned over domestic abuse allegations in the space of four days.
The US President tweeted on Saturday: "People's lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new.
"There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?"
Robert Porter, the White House staff secretary, resigned on Wednesday amid allegations of abuse from his two ex-wives.
The ex-wives said he physically and emotionally abused them. Mr Porter strongly denied the allegations, which were first reported in the Daily Mail.
Mr Trump's Speechwriter David Sorense resigned three days later after his ex-wife Jessica Corbett told The Washington Post he repeatedly attacked her during their two-and-a-half year marriage. He denied the allegations.
