Donald Trump achieves peak evil status as he brings a child’s worst nightmare to life by simply existing

Turns out Donald Trump is the modern day boogeyman. His mere existence seems to be enough to give children (and adults) across the world nightmares.

A video of a curious child asking about Donald Trump is going viral on TikTok due to his reaction upon finding out that the president is indeed a real person and not just a fictional character on the TV. The clip, posted by “andydouglas.trumpboy” currently has almost 15 million views and over 3 million likes.

Before he even asks the question the child appears to be visibly upset, which is a perfectly ordinary response when thinking about Trump, he then asks “is Donald Trump a real person?” While someone off camera tries to shield him from the truth, the mother, who is recording, decides it’s best to just rip the band-aid off as fast as possible.

Asking the young one “Andy, what’s wrong,” the boy repeats his question, to which the woman responds, “Yes, Donald Trump is a real person,” at which point her son immediately bursts into tears.

Of course, he’s not alone, many of us can feel his pain, if only we could live in a world where Donald Trump really is just a fictional character. When you think about it, it’s not hard to see why Andy was questioning whether Trump was real or not, the president does often come across as cartoonishly evil to the point that not even fictional villains look as bad as him. All he needs is a moustache to twirl as he’s calling for the national guard in the capital or spouting lies about immigrants in front of millions.

Donald Trump is not well liked by most kids it seems

In the comments section plenty of other parents shared their children’s reactions to Trump. “This was my daughter, now at 7 whenever something bad happens she says “I bet that Donald Trump is behind this,”” Meanwhile, another added, “My 6yo is mad at Trump. We are not American and I don’t talk politics with him..”

Children are kind of known for being brutally honest at times, if they don’t like a particular person they won’t lie just to be nice or fit in with others. While adults may lie to themselves and others about liking Trump, this boy’s response just proves that Trump is a terrifying monster that we’ve somehow managed to desensitize ourselves to as adults.

To many Trump is like the boogeyman only worse, because unlike the boogeyman, Trump is actually real. Hopefully Andy was able to move past the trauma of learning the awful truth about the president, perhaps the next election will see the U.S. vote for a leader whose mere existence doesn’t terrify the children out of their minds.
