Donald Parham got a chance with Vernon Davis absent from OTAs

It’s all about the opportunities for young members of the Washington Redskins.

Donald Parham, for example, is one of the newest members of the roster and seized his moment Tuesday at OTAs with veterans such as Vernon Davis absent.

From Redskins.com:

While not particularly as big as other members in his group, he certainly has length at his advantage, standing at 6-foot-8 and grabbed a couple of touchdowns from quarterback Dwayne Haskins during 7-on-7 drills that showed off his advantaged limbs. That included one corner pass that he caught over cornerback Jimmy Moreland, who even at his peak couldn’t reach the apex of the throw.

Parham has a long way to go before he can think about making the final roster, of course. But it is interesting to see him form a connection with someone like Dwayne Haskins right out of the gates.

And these reps are important for players like Parham right now. If someone in front of him on the depth chart gets hurt the Redskins have this to work with. If he hits the open market, other teams will know about it, too.

First, of course, comes the idea of fighting for a roster spot throughout the summer.
