Don’t try force on opposition, warns Congress leader Deepender Hooda

CHANDIGARH: Rajya Sabha member and senior Congress leader Deepender Hooda on Tuesday cautioned UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath against use of force on the Opposition by locking them in jails.

Hooda junior is accompanying the AICC general secretary in charge for UP, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Sitapur police station of the state for the past two days.

He cautioned CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendera Modi: “In democracy rulers are not born to queens, but are made from ballot boxes.”

The Congress also held protests across Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, while state party president Kuldeep Singh Rathore said the mowing down of four farmers by a minister’s son showed the state of law and order in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) and the Himachal Kisan Sabha had protested against the killing of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri.
