'Don't tell me he doesn't care' - Nottingham Forest fans are loving this brilliant video

Ever wondered what life is like on the substitutes’ bench, watching as your colleagues do their very best to keep the play-off dream alive?

On Sunday afternoon, Nottingham Forest may not have been at their scintillating best to overcome a plucky Wigan side, but overcome them they did through a combination of grit, determination and a sheer will to get record a first City Ground win in four.

Being on the bench is rarely a pleasurable experience, and Forest’s media team have captured the emotions brilliantly in their latest edition of Bench Cam.

Located right next to goalkeeper Jordan Smith, the video captures all the drama of the game from a frustrating first half, to Tobias Figueiredo’s winning header on the hour mark before the award of Wigan’s late penalty, which was then brilliantly saved by Brice Samba.

Smith, Michael Dawson, Joao Carvalho, Jack Robinson and Lewis Grabban can all be seen kicking every ball, encouraging their teammates on to what turned out to be three huge points, a second straight win over Christmas and a welcome return to the Championship’s top six - and judging by the reaction from supporters on the internet, they enjoyed it too.

Forest are back in City Ground action when they host Blackburn Rovers on New Year’s Day, hoping to cement their place inside the top six ahead of the break for FA Cup action at the weekend.
