MUMBAI: The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday moved a special PMLA court wanting to produce businessman Pravin Raut before a court in Delhi in connection with a case there. The special PMLA court, however, said that in light of the episode involving former DHFL promoters, Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan, as there was no letter from the concerned court it would be proper to allow Raut to make submissions on the plea. The court said that until then he should not be transferred in a hurry.
The court had earlier objected to Wadhawan brothers being taken to UP without permission. Raut’s pending bail plea was adjourned till July 19. ED had arrested Raut on February 2. In April, ED had submitted a chargesheet against Raut in money laundering case. The ED had also named HDIL promoters Rakesh Wadhawan and his son Sarang in the chargesheet.
