'Don't sell him!' - Arsenal fans react as Hector Bellerin's agent makes surprise transfer claim

Interest from Italy in Hector Bellerin has prompted a strong reaction from Arsenal supporters.

With the January transfer window seven weeks from reopening, the big news regarding the Gunners at the moment seems to be revolving around departures rather than incomings.

Granit Xhaka has been linked with a move to Newcastle United after being stripped of the captaincy by head coach Unai Emery, while fellow midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly considering his future.

But could Bellerin be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium in the winter window?

The answer to that question is no.

Although the right-back's agent, Alberto Botines, has hinted the situation could change in the summer window amid interest from an unnamed club in Serie A.

"At the moment, he’s focused on the team's commitments," Botines told Sky Sport Italia . "He comes from a bad injury and is returning to his usual level. He likes Italy, there’s already been interest from an Italian club but I can't reveal it.

"He has a long contract and it won’t be easy to take him away from Arsenal, he's their vice-captain.

"We'll see how the season goes."

As expected, these comments have garnered a strong response from Gunners fans on social media.

However, the response on Twitter has been rather mixed as it would appear supporters are conflicted on whether to cash in on Bellerin at some point in 2020.
