Don't miss your latest FREE Memory Lane supplement in next Tuesday's Chronicle

Don't miss your Chronicle next Tuesday, February 9.

As well as the regular news, features and sport, you'll find your third FREE 16-page Memory Lane supplement in the paper.

Memory Lane is our exciting new local history website, and the pull-out will feature dozens of striking images from the site.

The supplement is the latest of SIX appearing in The Chronicle each Tuesday. Collect each one to complete your own 96-page souvenir edition.

Each week we are looking at a different aspect of life in and around Tyneside over the years, focusing on subjects such as fashion, the workplace, family life and transport.

The first supplement's theme was The Way We Cared, and last week we looked at The Way We Played.

The latest theme is The Way We Worked, and we've raided the archive for dozens of wonderful old images of folk in the North East out earning a living in sometimes now-vanished industries such as shipbuilding and coal-mining.

You can also order the Memory Lane supplement at our online shop here.

And why not visit our Memory Lane website? It simply uses your postcode to show you a huge range of photographs from over the last 120 years, from anywhere between one and 100 miles away from where you live.

Just by signing up with your email address, you’ll get full access to hundreds of thousands of images pulled together from dozens of different online archives, including Britain From Above, Francis Frith, our publisher Reach plc’s own library, Geograph and many others.

Your own historic images can also be added to the archive for others to enjoy. And you'll be able to freshen up your own black and white images by using Memory Lane’s free and easy-to-use tool to give them full colour.

Just enter your postcode in the link here to take a trip into the photographic past.

And, of course, don't forget Tuesday's Chronicle for your third of six 16-page collectable supplements.
