Don't Look Up viewers realise they've missed crucial credit scenes in new Netflix film

It seems Netflix viewers have been missing some crucial scenes in the new film Don't Look Up, not realising they existed.

There's a mid-credit scene and an end credit scene, which could well alter the entire ending of the new movie which is currently streaming on the service.

While some viewers had been aware of the two scenes, some only noticed the first of the two or the last of the two big scenes.

Many viewers took to Twitter, suddenly realising the possible reason why the film's ending credits were so long.

For those who didn't realise, they've no doubt raced to rewatch them or find them online.

Warning, the rest of this article will contain big spoilers of Don't Look Up, so anyone yet to watch it should avoid reading any further.

Anyone who has seen the film will know the ending was pretty catastrophic.

The film, which features a huge cast including Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Meryl Streep, is a comedy disaster movie.

It's about two low-level astronomers who go on a huge media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth.

Of course they face big challenges, as no one believes them as the apocalypse dawns ever closer, and eventually Earth is seemingly destroyed.

So by the end of the film with all the drama kicking off, things are looking pretty bleak especially for one character in particular.

But viewers tuning into the credit scenes will know two big twists emerged, that alter the fates of the main cast it seems.

With the first scene which is apparently set 22,740 years later, some of the cast are spotted on a new alien planet, habitable for humans - except they are all naked, and it isn't long before killer creatures strike.

This means some of the characters definitely survived the doomed end of the world as they knew it, while it's not clear if there could be a sequel.

Then there's the final scene of the film, at the end of the credits, which might be the biggest surprise of all.

Jonah's character Jason Orlean is shown crawling out of the rubble following the comet hitting Earth, and he seems very much alive after the assumption he had not survived.

He then gets his phone out to film the devastation around him for social media, asking for subscribers - but could he be the last man on Earth?

Either way, there were plenty of fans admitting they'd failed to spot either scene or at least one of them, alerting the credit scenes to other viewers on Twitter to avoid them making the same mistake.

One fan wrote: "Btw if you do watch Don't Look Up, there is a scene after the end credits."

Another viewer added: "For all those who watch Don't Look Up there are 2 secret scenes during and after the credits."

And a third said: "Btw Don't Look Up has a mid credits and post credits scene."
