The kicking struggle for the Vikings has been well documented, much at the dismay of Vikings fans.
We’re not trying to jinx anything here, but . . . so far in 2019, Vikings kicker Dan Bailey has actually been pretty good!
Bailey is 7-for-8 on field goals on the season. He struggled in Week 2 against the Packers, missing a field goal and an extra point, but other than that, he’s been perfect on field goals and extra points. In the last three weeks, Bailey is a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals.
He’s 1-for-1 on kicks from 50 yards or longer, 2-for-3 on kicks from 40-49 yards and 4-for-4 on kicks from 20-39 yards.
Of course, we know how kicking goes. This could all change in a game.
We don’t know how Bailey will do the rest of the season, but we do know the Vikings are better off with him than Kaare Vedvik.
