Bless 'im, we love that Matt Drudge, but just occasionally ... Like today with the story that this year's Oscar host Chris Rock has upset the Oscars Academy in suggesting that he doesn't usually watch it.
"What straight black man does?" he asked, rhetorically. He even went so far as to suggest that some people watch the whole thing just to see if anyone wore any nice dresses. Honestly. Does no one remember Steve Martin, in I think 2003, addressing his fellow luvvies with the awesome thought of the millions of people who'd tuned in? "And they're all thinking one thing," he said airily," ... that we're all gay." If the Oscars can survive that on the night, they can survive a couple of much gentler gags a week before.
