Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville both believe that Everton will avoid relegation from the Premier League and that 'Leeds will go down'.
Everton and Burnley play this Thursday and have a game in hand on Leeds as the Clarets currently occupy the final Premier League relegation spot. Leeds are one point clear of Mike Jackson’s side with Everton a further point ahead of Leeds and two clear of the drop zone. Burnley travel to Aston Villa on Thursday while Everton host Crystal Palace. Then, on the final day, Everton travel to the Emirates to take on Arsenal, Burnley host Newcastle and Leeds play Brentford away.
And both Carragher and Neville think Everton will survive and are tipping Jesse Marsch’s side for relegation. “I think Leeds go down,” Neville told Monday Night Football. “I don’t think they get anything at Brentford, don’t get me wrong but I think Leeds are in trouble. That could happen [no more teams get a point] but I think Burnley will get something against Villa or Newcastle, I think they’ll get something.”

Carragher agreed with Neville although he explained how he worried about the impact on Everton if they don’t pick up a result at Goodison Park on Thursday. He said: “I think Everton will be ok. I do believe that. They’ll be a real panic if they don’t get a result at Crystal Palace but Everton will have to remember where they were two weeks ago before Chelsea. I fear for Leeds, I think Burnley can get something out of their last two games, I still say Leeds go down.”
