‘Don’t forget’ - What Leeds & Nottingham Forest’s other promotion rivals are really thinking

It just wouldn’t be the Championship without twists and turns aplenty.

Three of the division’s top four sides were in action this week, and they managed to win a total of...zero matches.

West Bromwich Albion were beaten at home by lowly Stoke City, Fulham couldn’t find a way past Charlton Athletic at The Valley, and Nottingham Forest were held by Reading at the City Ground.

Those results mean it’s largely as it was at the summit of the league, with West Brom top, Leeds second, Fulham third and Forest fourth.

Only five points separate the sides – and Forest face both the Baggies and the Whites in the next month.

So, what’s the mood at each club like ahead of what promises to be a thrilling run-in? Here’s what fans of Forest’s rivals are saying:

West Brom fans

@Tom_WBAFC: Results went kind of OK for us. Brentford play Forest next Tuesday, someone or both will drop points. 4 points is that gap. Game in hand our season starts again Tuesday!

@MattyJPerry: Both Fulham and Forest drew... does anyone want promotion?

@ClintM29: So Forest have played their game in hand and still need 6 points to go above us! It’ll take another 4 Points from the next 6 Games to drop out the top 2.

@Ichigo_200: Forest and Fulham drawing atm = some breathing room for #wba and #lufc.

@Lebouf1976: Forest & Fulham both failing to win.

Leeds fans

@Dannyellis1994: What a set of results for us tonight with Fulham and Forest only getting a point... Big game Tuesday.

@DRobinson87: Fulham/Forest drawing, especially Forest, are great results for us. That bit more breathing space, assuming we are to beat Millwall of course.

@Russlufc: Forest, Fulham and WBA dropping points and announcement of being sponsored by @adidasUK next year.... things might not be great on the pitch and still haven’t got that striker but I’ll take that for now.

@LUFC1992: Fulham and Forest both drop points. Man Utd lose 2-0 @ home to Burnley. Leeds announce Adidas kit deal. If Carlsberg made evenings...

@Oakes_89: Great opportunity for us now with the results tonight. Even better that Brentford play Forest next. Time for us to step up now.

Fulham fans

@Puck1879: I know tonight was frustrating but don’t forget both Leeds and Brentford lost at the valley this season. Forest and West Brom only picking up a point there like ourselves. We move on. Still in the mix.

@Burga2: Key is we have to play Forest, Leeds and West Brom away.

@GElliottFFC: It’s like everyone has forgotten how many injuries we have.
