Don’t expect to see Antonio Brown traded within AFC North

Cincinnati Bengals fans can rest easy — the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t figure to trade star wide receiver Antonio Brown within the AFC North.

While this might seem like an obvious bit of commentary, nothing has been ordinary about the saga between the Steelers and arguably their best player.

As such, it is interesting to read the following from Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated: “The Steelers, as I understand it, are against trading him in the division, and against trading him to the Patriots. They’ll listen to offers from the other 27 teams.”

The latest development in the saga — and there are many — is that Brown met with Steelers ownership and the two sides agreed a trade will happen.

With Baltimore needing to help Lamar Jackson and Cleveland as unpredictable as ever, it should be a welcome note to hear a report that the Steelers won’t trade him within the division. If the Bengals are lucky, the Steelers will trade Brown to the NFC.
