'Don't do a Forest' - Reds fans' nerves grow after Sabri Lamouchi names his starting XI

Nerves were shred before a ball was kicked at the City Ground, with Nottingham Forest preparing to face up to a date with destiny.

Avoid defeat to Stoke City this evening and the Reds will be in the Championship play-offs for the first time since 2011, lose and those nerves will be completely shred and the lengthy campaign could be in tatters.

There could be despair if Forest were to blow their best chance of promotion in ages having spent nearly all the campaign inside those top six places, and fans are understandably twitchy.

Fifth-placed Forest have a three-point and five-goal advantage over Swansea City in seventh, with the Swans at Reading in their final game, while sixth-placed Cardiff host Hull City, themselves all but relegated to League One.

Ahead of kick-off, there was some positive news with the return of key duo Matty Cash and Joe Lolley, as the Reds look for a first win in six games after a poor run.

Fans were understandably concerned about the task ahead of their side, although relieved two of this season’s star performers were back in from the start to give them a fighting chance.

Here’s a round-up of what some fans have been saying on social media.
