Passengers are being assured there's no need for concern at Canberra Airport on Wednesday afternoon. The airport is set to carry out an emergency exercise on site.
The exercise will run between 2pm and 6pm, and will involve emergency responses from the police, fire and rescue and emergency services.
Flights will not be affected by the exercise.
An airport spokeswoman said passengers should not be alarmed by the large emergency services presence at the airport.
"The purpose of the exercise is to test Canberra Airport's emergency plan," the spokeswoman said.
"Members of the public are advised that additional vehicles and emergency services personnel at or around Canberra Airport are associated with the exercise and there is no need for concern."
