Tom Boyd insists referee Don Robertson made two major errors in Celtic 's 4-0 rout over Ross County.
The Premiership leaders opened up a six-point lead over title rivals Rangers and stretched the goal difference in the process.
But the Celtic TV commentator was left irked by Robertson's decision not to award the Hoops a penalty after Joseph Hungbo raised his hands to block Jota's cross in the first half.
And he was also fuming that Kayne Ramsey wasn't booked by the man in the middle before his straight red card for a lunge on Tom Rogic.
The on-loan Southampton defender wiped out Daizen Maeda shortly before his dismissal but was only given a warning by Robertson.
And it will certainly add further debate over the need for VAR in Scottish football ahead of the looming vote on video technology.
Here's what Boyd had to say about a pair of key incidents on a day when Ange Postecoglou's side strengthened their title hopes.
On penalty shout for handball on Joseph Hungbo
"It is certainly worth a shout from the team and the players.
"Regardless of the distance, he lifted his arms out.
"I'm going with the handball.
"I'm still in disbelief at that, honestly.
"It's quite amazing, if the referee has given it for distance then he thinks it has hit his arm, otherwise he would have just waved play on.
"In terms of distance, he thinks it has hit his arm, he (Hungbo) has moved his arm, he has deliberately made the movement to make himself bigger.
"It should be a stonewall penalty, how is that not a penalty?
"It's not often I'm wrong Gerry, but I think I'm right again."
On Kayne Ramsay red card
"Thankfully he's seen sense and that challenge on Tom Rogic was severe enough for a red card.
"Tom could be severely injured by this challenge.
"Oof, I think he has probably got him with both feet, he (Ramsey) is certainly coming in with his following leg.
"But that's where I think the referee is at fault here, for not having booked him previously and allowing him to get another challenge like that.
"Because that's what you do, you think 'I can get away with this', you try things that are above the law."
