Domino's seeks new CEO and chair as franchisees demand a bigger slice of profits

Pizza chain Domino's is still looking for a new chief executive and chair as the company struggles to resolve a dispute with franchisees.

The fast food firm today said the rate of UK sales growth increased in the third quarter to 3%, from 2.2% in the same period last year. It comes as UK and Ireland sales reached £288.2 million, a 3.9% increase.

CEO David Wild, who has led the pizza delivery chain since 2014, is due to step down.Franchisees claim their share of profits has fallen significantly in recent years and as a result some have refused to open new stores.

Wild said: "Normal working practices continue to be impacted by our franchisee dispute. As we said at our interim results, this situation is complex and we expect a resolution to take time, certainly into 2020. We remain committed to working with our franchisees to agree sustainable win-win solutions."
