Domino's reacts after initial 'teething problems' at new Bingham branch

Domino's says its new store is thriving after some "teething problems" immediately after opening.

The fast food chain opened up in Church Street in Bingham earlier this year at the building formerly housing the Chesterfield Arms pub.

There were reports that the pub building could be used for apartments back in 2020, but two years later and residents realised that the fast food chain had opened up there.

Since opening, some local residents had complained about the store's pricing, food arriving cold and late and the signage not being in keeping with the area.

Nottinghamshire Live had previously got a mixed reaction from locals on the new store, with some saying they don't feel like the town needed more takeaways, and others claiming they were excited to use the new store.

Domino's says it is very happy to be serving the people of Bingham and they are continuing to look for more staff to take on board.

A spokesperson for Domino's said: "We pride ourselves on being a positive presence in the communities we serve and are thrilled to be offering our fresh, handcrafted pizzas to the residents of Bingham.

"Since opening in January, we have boosted local employment with the addition of 25 in-store positions and we are continuing to look out for local, passionate people to join our Bingham team.

"As with every new business, we faced some teething problems in the first two weeks as we trained up our new team members. However, our Bingham store is now operating to our usual high standards, and we are receiving positive feedback and support from our customers.

"We’re proud of the value we offer, which is why we have a range of competitive prices and great national deals to suit everyone. The Domino's Bingham team is excited to be serving the community for years to come."
