Domino's hiring at 12 Leeds stores as pizza giant launches 5,000 new jobs nationwide

To plug the gap left by temporary staff going back to their pre-pandemic jobs, Domino's has announced plans to hire 5,000 workers this month.

The pizza giant is looking to recruit thousands of workers and they have roles in all 12 branches across Leeds for store operations and delivery drivers.

The company hired thousands of people last year and they claim many people have stayed on in the company but others have decided to go back to the jobs they had before the coronavirus pandemic hit.

To plug the gap, the fast-food giant says it is looking to employ thousands of chefs and delivery drivers to boost the workforce across its 1,100 stores in the UK.

Domino’s told The Mirror that all its franchise stores pay staff at least the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage, while its corporate stores pay team members above these amounts.

The National Living Wage - which is the minimum rate employers are allowed to pay employees aged 23 or over for each hour worked - is currently £8.91.

If you’re aged 22 or under, you’re paid the National Minimum Wage which varies depending on how old you are.

Those aged between 21 and 22 must be paid a minimum of £8.36 per hour, while it’s £6.56 for people aged 18 to 20, or £4.62 for those under 18s.

For apprentice pay, the minimum wage you must get is £4.30.
