Domino's fan proposes to girlfriend with a ham and pineapple pizza

As marriage proposals go, popping the question with food is a tried and tested method.

Rings hidden in desserts, "Will you marry me?" spelt out in chocolates and now those four important words have even been hidden in a pizza box.

While pizza does not often equal romance, for one couple it is incredibly significant which is why Adam Eaglefield enlisted the help of Domino's to propose to his girlfriend Rebecca Woodall last month, reports the MEN.

Having split a pizza from the fast-food chain on their first date Adam, requested the team at his local branch in Bracknell include a written message of "Rebecca, will you marry me?" with their order.

The staff at the branch wrote the message on the inside of the lid of their pizza box which contained the couple's order of a ham and pineapple pizza. When Rebecca saw the message she turned to see Adam on one knee holding a very different type of box, containing an engagement ring.

Speaking about the proposal, Adam said: "Rebecca and I enjoyed our first date over a slice of Pepperoni Passion, so I really wanted to include Domino's in my proposal.

"I'm thrilled the team were so supportive and able to make this special occasion even more personal to us, and of course, Rebecca said yes as a result."

Responding to the romantic tale, Jarnail Singh, store manager for Domino's' Bracknell branch, said: "We're pleased we could help Adam turn his perfect pizza proposal into a reality and make it a dough-lightful moment for them both to share."
