Dominik Szoboszlai 'private plane spotted' as update on Liverpool medical emerges

Liverpool have agreed to meet the release clause of RB Leipzig and Hungary star Dominik Szoboszlai.

In a major step towards landing the Hungary captain, the ECHO reported that the Reds last night informed the Bundesliga outfit of their intentions of paying the £60m fee which was due to expire at the close of play on Friday. Meetings with the player's representatives were productive with personal terms not believed to be a problem after Szoboszlai expressed his desire to play under Jurgen Klopp.

The RB Leipzig midfielder, who was deployed frequently on the right wing for Die Roten Bullen, is poised to become the second summer signing as the German head coach looks to reinforce his options in the middle of the park ahead of an important campaign.

Alexis Mac Allister was the first piece of the puzzle after completing his move from Brighton & Hove Albion and now the 22-year-old appears to be the next addition.

In a fresh report today, the ECHO understands Szoboszlai has been given permission to undergo his medical ahead of the switch to Liverpool. But has he already checked in to the UK?

As is the case with transfer windows, as reporters do their best to find out the latest story, the fans get to work too as their detective skills get put to the test.

In the current era, a staple of the landscape is flight-tracking as we have seen with the likes of Darwin Nunez as he completed his move from Benfica.

With the deadline to meet Szoboszlai's release clause no longer a cause for concern, it it seemingly now a question of when, not if. As a result, fans have fired up their flight-tracking resources and websites and one user thinks they have found a potential route for the 22-year-old to set foot on English soil.

Reddit user Petaaa has found a private jet which landed in Chester from Stuttgart and while the dots were there to be joined, the provider 'Salzburg Jet Aviation' is also said to be the source of travel for RB Salzburg.

The flight left Germany shortly before 5pm their time on Friday before landing at 5.35pm GMT. Their post read: "Private jet arrived in Chester yesterday from Stuttgart.

"It seemed to just stop at the prior briefly as came from Braunschweig closest small (private) airport to Leipzig. Also Salzburg aviation Redbull’s usual choice."

There could also be an alternative which the same eagle-eyed fan on Reddit has flagged up. At the time of writing, another private jet was spotted making its way from Budapest over to Liverpool, reportedly due to land just before 1pm UK time.
