Tottenham were without Dominic Solanke for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Luton Town, with the club confirming a minor ankle injury.
Solanke featured for Spurs in the 2-0 win over Reading last weekend as life under new head coach Thomas Frank got off to the perfect start.
However, a minor ankle injury issue means he played no part at Kenilworth Road in what was Tottenham's second match of the day.
Spurs will hope Solanke’s issue isn’t too serious as the club are due to fly out to Asia or their pre-season tour where they will face north London rivals Arsenal as well as Newcastle.
A statement reads: “Dominic Solanke misses out as a precaution with a minor ankle injury.”
The England international becomes the second senior player to miss out on importance match minutes today after Rodrigo Bentancur was a late withdrawal from the squad against Wycombe.
Bentancur was initially penciled in to start at Hotspur Way on Saturday morning but missed out because of illness with youngster George Abbott taking his place in central midfield.
A Spurs team that featured first-team stars such as Heung-min Son, Pedro Porro, Lucas Bergvall, Wilson Odobert and Richarlison drew 2-2 with Wycombe as Pape Matar Sarr netted a brace.
Frank once again split the senior team against Luton as Mathys Tel, Brennan Johnson, Micky van de Ven and Yves Bissouma all started alongside summer signing Mohammed Kudus in a goalless draw.
