Incoming Celtic chief executive Dominic McKay has witnessed his last Scotland rugby match at Murrayfield as his arrival at Parkhead edges closer.
The highly-regarded decision maker is set to take over from retiring Peter Lawwell when his term at the SRU finishes on July 1.
He's expected to have a number of decisions to make when he makes the switch from rugby to football with a new director of football set to be installed and a manager to work under them after Neil Lennon's departure last month.
That prompted SRU colleague Mark Dodson to joke McKay has a "very full in-tray" waiting for him in the new role, although an early arrival in Glasgow has been ruled out.
McKay was given a rousing send off as Scotland thrashed Italy 52-10 in their last home match of the Six Nations campaign, although after defeat to Ireland last week the Scots cannot end the tournament as champions despite having one last game to play against France.
He tweeted: "What a cracking game to watch today as my last @Scotlandteam home match. The team was magnificent today!!
"Huge congratulations to my great friend Dr James on his 250th match as team doctor. A very special man for a special team. #AsOne"
