It's been little over seven days since Dominic McKay was parachuted into an early start at Celtic.
The now former SRU chief operating officer was originally pencilled in for a summer start but it's fair to speculate the sizeable rebuild required at Parkhead is behind his arrival well ahead of schedule.
McKay was first spotted taking in last weekend's Scottish Cup defeat to Rangers, one which will have underlined the importance of getting the big calls right before next season.
Working alongside the retiring Peter Lawwell for the time being, McKay will be taking an active role in appointing the new Celtic manager and likely a director of football.
But while his inbox will be chock full, some fans have queried why they haven't officially heard from the new man as yet.
It's a question that was put to supporter liaison officer John Paul Taylor on Monday.
He replied to a supporter on Twitter and insisted McKay will be "keen to engage" with fans but pointed out he won't officially assume the role of CEO until July 1.
It seems McKay could prefer to settle into his new surroundings before being unveiled to an expectant Parkhead public.
Taylor wrote: "I think he'll be keen to engage Kieran, his role doesn't begin officially until July 1 so at the moment I believe it's mostly just about getting a better understanding of the business structure."
