Former Leeds United star Dominic Matteo has paid tribute to Norman Hunter and Jack Charlton after the Whites secured promotion to the Premier League.
West Brom's 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town on Friday night brought an end to Leeds' 16-year absence from England's top-flight.
With the Baggies having only one game left to play, they now sit four points adrift of Leeds, promoting Marcelo Bielsa's side back to the Premier League.
Leeds can confirm the Championship title on Saturday if Brentford fail to beat Stoke City at 12:30pm.
Otherwise, a point against Derby County will confirm the trophy will head to Elland Road.
Less than a week after Charlton's sad passing, Leeds are back in the Premier League.
Having lost Hunter and Trevor Cherry earlier this year too, Matteo paid tribute to all the Leeds players that had died this year.
"It means absolutely everything, it's one of the best feelings I've ever had even though I'm not playing or involved with the club," he told Sky Sports.
"It's absolutely fantastic, it feels so good. Bielsa has done absolutely incredible, everything that has been done from start to finish has been the right way.
"The way they play, the way they tackle, get after people, they've done everything so well. I'm absolutely delighted for everyone associated with Leeds United.
"I've been part of it myself and I'm so pleased for everyone involved in Leeds United. For all the people we've lost as well, all those great people around Leeds, this is for them today, it's absolutely brilliant!"
