Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been told how playing with James Rodriguez and Allan can help him achieve new heights at the club.
The 23-year-old opened his account for the season on the opening weekend by scoring the only goal of the game in Everton 's 1-0 triumph against Tottenham in North London.
That gives him a solid platform to build upon in the remainder of the season and former England striker Darren Bent believes Everton's summer signings can help him improve his game.
"Leading into the break last season, he was England's most in-form striker. After lockdown, maybe he didn't quite hit the same kind of heights," he told TalkSport.
"I'm a big fan of his. He's quick, he's strong, he's good in the air and I think it's a big season for him because there's probably three or four players that are vying to get themselves on the plane for the Euros.
"He's in prime position. He's got a fantastic manager there who believes in him and who will improve him. Playing with players like James Rodriguez and Allan, these guys create opportunities.
"One element of his game that he needs to work on is his finishing but that will come. If he keeps getting these opportunities, it'll just click and he will just start scoring goals."
