Dominic Calvert-Lewin pictured training as Everton handed double fitness boost

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is pushing for a return to action after taking part in training this week.

Everton have, this afternoon, released images of the club's leading scorer taking part in a session at Finch Farm yesterday.

The new batch of images also show Fabian Delph training at the Halewood facility too.

Delph suffered a hamstring injury against Burnley on December 2.

And though the club initially rubbished fears that he could be sidelined for at least a month, he has not played since.

Calvert-Lewin, meanwhile, has missed Everton's last three games due to injury.

But he looks to have offered Carlo Ancelotti a boost ahead of Sunday's FA Cup fourth round tie with Sheffield Wednesday.

Ancelotti may still choose to start with Cenk Tosun upfront, as he did in the previous round against Rotherham, in order to have Calvert-Lewin ready for Wednesday night's game with Leicester City at Goodison.

There was no sign of midfielder Allan or Jean-Philippe Gbamin on the pictures shared by the club.

The Blues take on Sheffield Wednesday at 8pm on Sunday, live on BT Sport.
