Dominic Calvert-Lewin crowned Everton Fans' Footballer of the Year

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been crowned Everton Fans' Footballer of the Year for 2020.

The Blues star was on a four-man shortlist for the prestigious new prize along with Richarlison, Lucas Digne and Mason Holgate.

And he scooped almost 70% of the vote after an impressive calendar year and stellar start to the new season.

Richarlison was second, just ahead of Digne who took third place in the public poll.

Announcing Calvert-Lewin's award, Reach PLC said: "2020 has been another transitional year for Everton, but with Carlo Ancelotti in the dugout it appears as though the Toffees are finally ready to fulfil Farhad Moshiri’s vision of attacking the established order.

"Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a player who has been transformed by Ancelotti’s arrival.

"Likened to Filippo Inzaghi by his manager, Calvert-Lewin has this year blossomed into a top centre-forward.

"A worthy winner with a bright future."

The striker has already notched 11 goals in 14 appearances in the top flight.

And he has helped fire Ancelotti's side up to fourth in the table ahead of Christmas Day.

The Blues will be back in action again on Wednesday night at Goodison Park as they take on Manchester Unted in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
