Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison injury latest as Everton hope for Yerry Mina selection

Rafa Benitez has confirmed that attacking pair Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison remain sidelined for Everton’s home match with West Ham United on Sunday but he remains hopeful over Yerry Mina’s participation.

Mina played the full 90 minutes in a trio of World Cup qualifiers for Colombia, helping them to a hat-trick of clean sheets in goalless stalemates with Uruguay, Brazil and Ecuador, the latter of which finished in the early hours of Friday morning.

With Seamus Coleman and Alex Iwobi both fit again, when asked about additional injury news for the visit of David Moyes’ side, Benitez said: “ Lucas (Digne) is fine, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin are closer but still they won’t be available for this game.

“Yerry is coming back, he’s been playing a lot of games, a lot of minutes, but now I think he is travelling so hopefully he will be here for starting the game.

“Everything is positive in terms of the feedback but we’ll have to wait and see how he feels.

“He’s following the protocols and is doing everything he has to do to be sure that he’s available.”

Benitez confirmed that midfield pair Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph’s rehabilitation process is also continuing.

When asked if they could feature, he said: “No, they’re working to be ready as soon as possible but they are in this process and still they’re not available.”
