Dom Dolla is making a homecoming splash in the most iconic way possible, by turning Marvel Stadium into a superclub for his debut gig at the venue. It’s shaping up to be one of the largest headline electronic shows ever played in this country, a feather in the cap of a home grown DJ on an absolute career tear.
“Melbourne clubs are where I cut my teeth as a DJ,” he said in a statement announcing the tour.
“I don’t get to play at home as often as I’d like these days, so after touring all over the world and learning what makes a great show, I wanted this one to be incredibly special.”
It follows his record-breaking debut Australian stadium performance in Sydney in December last year, which saw a sell-out crowd of more than 40,000 fans absolutely send it at Allianz Stadium. If he sells out Marvel Stadium, he’ll beat his own record by 20-30,000 fans.
“Turning this stadium into a superclub has been a dream of mine for years now, and I can’t believe we’re finally making it a reality. I am so grateful for the support Melbourne has shown me over the years. See you in September.”
The “Dreamin” producer is swiftly becoming one of our biggest musical exports, selling out NYC’s Madison Square Garden twice last year, completing a 10-week residency at the world’s #1 club Hï Ibiza, and making his film soundtrack debut in the recent Brad Pitt-film, F1.
For fans wanting to experience the magic in Melbourne, registering for pre-sale access is a must, warns promoter Frontier Touring. “This is your best chance to secure tickets,” the press release read. “General on sale is not guaranteed.”
