What a wild time free agency has been.
We thought Teddy Bridgewater turned down an offer from the Dolphins to remain with the Saints, but that may not be the case.
Like Anthony Barr, it appears as if Bridgewater changed his mind. He finished a free-agent visit with the Dolphins on Wednesday and left without a deal.
Obviously, there’s more of an opportunity for Bridgewater to start in Miami than in New Orleans. At the very least, you’d expect there to be a quarterback competition between Bridgewater and Ryan Tannehill. That is, if the Dolphins don’t cut Tannehill.
Bridgewater hasn’t gotten much of an opportunity since suffering a gruesome knee injury with the Vikings in 2016. He looked great with the Jets in preseason last year and the Saints were willing to give up a third-round pick for Bridgewater.
