Dolphins will honor late HOF linebacker Nick Buoniconti in 2019

The Miami Dolphins experienced a heavy loss among their alumni this summer with the passing of Hall of Fame linebacker Nick Buoniconti. Buoniconti, who passed away on July 30th, is the first of inducted Miami Dolphin to pass away.

The Dolphins will be honoring Buoniconti’s memory and legacy with a helmet sticker featuring the initials “NAB” — also a first for the franchise.

The Buoniconti family is hosting a celebration in his memory as well — which will take place on Friday, September 6th from 5 to 8 PM EST. The celebration will be held at the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at the Lois Pope LIFE Center in Miami. Anyone hoping to attend may RVSP here.

Buoniconti played seven years with the Dolphins from 1969-1976, helping anchor three consecutive runs to the Super Bowl and solidifying his standing as a Hall of Fame great along the way.
