As the Miami Dolphins continue their efforts to trim their roster down to 53 players, they announce that they’ve waived undrafted free agent defensive lineman Owen Carney Jr.
Carney signed with Miami this offseason and immediately joined a strong front seven that didn’t have many spots up for the taking. While he showed some good things throughout the summer, his performances just weren’t enough to earn a spot on the final roster.

There is a possibility that he earned enough good favor with the team that he makes it to the practice squad after he goes through waivers.
