Dolphins upstage surfers in awesome display caught on video

When dolphins crash the lineup to ride waves, surfers are generally left in awe.

That certainly appeared to be the case recently in Sydney, Australia, when at least two dozen dolphins revealed their dominance by streaking past and around surfers to catch a wave and leave them far behind.

According to the Daily Mail, the aerial footage was captured by Shaun Petersen of the Dolphin Swim School.

Petersen, also a surfer, is quoted as saying, “It was a sunny Autumn April 2019 at a beautiful surf break where a pod of dolphins showed up to give the handful of surfers in the water a show of their dolphin skills!”

Petersen Shared the footage to Instagram on Wednesday, and by Thursday afternoon it had garnered more than 156,000 views.
