Dolphins to begin accepting cryptocurrency payments in 2019

Big into Bitcoin? The Miami Dolphins have some great news for you. The franchise will begin accepting both Litecoin (their official cryptocurrency) and Bitcoin in 2019 for those fans who have invested in the market. This news comes courtesy of the Litecoin Foundation, who announced the partnership with the Dolphins as a means of increasing visibility and adding credibility to the digital currency.

Don’t get too excited, Bitcoin investors. The cryptocurrency is being accepted at this time only for the purchase of 50/50 raffle tickets at Dolphins home games. Transactions can be made online, but there will be kiosks available for purchases at Hard Rock Stadium, as well.

While the ultimate fate of cryptocurrencies is yet to be determined and the stability of the digital money market is very much in flux, those who took the dive and invested can now utilize their investment as a part of the Miami Dolphins’ game day experience in 2019.
