Dolphins Tab Former Raiders GM As Senior Personnel Executive

The Miami Dolphins spent some time yesterday adding to their off-season roster, signing DL Tank Carradine and CB Jomal Wiltz. Today, they’re adding to their personnel department.

According to a league source, the Dolphins are inking former Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie to work as a senior personnel executive under the direction of general manager Chris Grier.

McKenzie, a former NFL linebacker, served as the director of player personnel in Green Bay for seven years before being named the Oakland Raiders general manager in 2012. McKenzie served under that title for 6 years before being relieved of his duties this past season.

McKenzie’s most impressive work in Oakland came in 2014, when he drafted EDGE Khalil Mack (5th overall), QB Derek Carr (36th overall) and OG Gabe Jackson (81st overall) in the first three rounds.
