Dolphins suddenly facing potential bidding war over Robert Quinn

It was reported yesterday that Dolphins defensive end Robert Quinn was in Dallas, opening the door for a potential trade to the Cowboys. Such a move would help the Dolphins’ continued efforts to re-shape and remodel the course of their future.

But the Dolphins appear to have caught a stroke of luck: the Cowboys aren’t the only team interested. Business may have just picked up for the Dolphins.

The New Orleans Saints, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, have also engaged the Dolphins in trade talks for Quinn.

The advantage still figures to belong to Dallas, where senior executive Will McClay reportedly sat down with Quinn yesterday to help facilitate interest in making Dallas home.

Miami’s hopeful return sounds to be yet another 2020 Draft selection, getting more than one team in the mix with phone calls will be a potential catalyst in returning a higher draft selection.

Whether a deal gets done today or not, it’s apparent that Quinn will be playing somewhere other than Miami in 2019. General manager Chris Grier’s strong start to his first season at the wheel will continue when he’s able to finalize a deal for draft capital.
