Dolphins' Ryan Fitzpatrick to start vs. Browns despite being limited in practice

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will start Sunday against the Cleveland Browns despite being limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

Fitzpatrick, who was listed on the team's injury report the past two days with right shoulder and right forearm injuries, was a full participant during Friday's practice.

Dolphins coach Brian Flores said on Friday that he fully expects Fitzpatrick to start after progressing throughout the week.

When asked if there was any question that Fitzpatrick would play Sunday, Flores said, "No, he'll be out there. He's practiced this week and he's gotten better each day ... I expect him to be out there."

Fitzpatrick, who turns 37 on Sunday, is the only quarterback in NFL history to win at least one start with seven different franchises (Dolphins, Titans, Buccaneers, Bengals, Texans, Jets, Bills). He also started three games for the St. Louis Rams as a rookie in 2005, but didn't win any of them.

Fitzpatrick, who has completed 63.2% of his passes, has thrown for 1,687 yards with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions this season. He also has been sacked 24 times in seven games, including seven in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

If Fitzpatrick is unable to play, the Dolphins would replace him with Josh Rosen, whose workload increased this week because of Fitzpatrick's limited reps. Rosen hasn't started since a Week 6 loss to the Washington Redskins.
