Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage really ducked to avoid a pass to him

The Miami Dolphins have been awful in the early going this season. It’s been so bad that there have been reports of players demanding trades to get away from the tanking.

And now, we have a Dolphins player avoiding a pass clearly intended for him.

The play in question happened during Sunday’s Week 2 game against the Patriots. Ryan Fitzpatrick dropped back and tried to hit running back Kalen Ballage with a pass underneath.

The football, though, obviously caught Ballage off guard because he ducked to avoid the pass. If you needed a sequence to sum up the 2019 season for the Dolphins, this was probably it.

That’s because Fitzpatrick threw an interception on the very next play.

If you have would-be pass-catchers actively avoiding passes to catch, you can say it’s going to be a long season in Miami.
