Dolphins reportedly dangling several players in trade talks

Miami Dolphins fans who spend their free time on social media have been holding their collective breath for the last 18 hours or so — as rumors have begun to swirl that several Miami Dolphins are being dangled in trade conversations as Miami looks to finalize their roster entering 2019. Rumor has it the Dolphins have fielded or initiated calls on WR Kenny Stills, S Reshad Jones, LB Kiko Alonso and even OT Laremy Tunsil.

The Miami Herald has provided some clarity this morning — confirming that the Dolphins are indeed “open for business“.

The Herald’s report, co-authored by Barry Jackson and Adam Beasley, confirms that Miami is shopping around for suitors in order to trade several veteran players — including Jones and Alonso. One high ranking official told the Herald that finding trade partners for Alonso or even Kenny Stills would be difficult because “teams would wait for them to be cut”.

And so it sounds as though the Dolphins have quite a few options on the table — and are trying to use the remaining buffer between now and the cut deadline to prompt action on the part of suitors.

As it relates to Laremy Tunsil, the Herald is reporting that there is no truth to any rumor that the Dolphins have initiated any conversations suggesting that they’re making the left tackle available in a trade. The report does, however, confirm that teams have called the Dolphins inquiring about his availability.

There will be more to come, without a doubt. Stay tuned, Dolphins fans.
