Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill left Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals and went to the locker room with an apparent left knee injury with 1:19 left in the third quarter. Tannehill took a hit from Cardinals defensive tackle Calais Campbell after throwing a pass.
Backup Matt Moore entered the game at quarterback with the Dolphins holding a 21-9 lead.
Tannehill got a nice ovation from fans as he walked into the tunnel that leads into the locker room.
Tannehill was 15-of-20 passing for 195 yards, three touchdowns and one interception when he left the game. He had a 124.0 passer rating.
Tannehill is the most sacked quarterback in the NFL since entering the league in 2012 with 212, but remarkably he's never missed a start.
Tannehill (19 touchdowns, 12 interceptions) is having a decent season so far. Although fans chanted "We Want Moore!" during the game against the Tennessee Titans, the Dolphins last home loss, Tannehill has made a number of timely plays this season to help the Dolphins pull out victories.
Tannehill, who had a well-thrown 28-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Kenny Stills in the first quarter of Sunday's game, has a 36-40 career record.
Entering Sunday's game Tannehill had gone the past four home games, and at least 89 consecutive passes, without throwing an interception.
If Tannehill doesn't return this will mark Moore's most playing time all season.
