Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick tossed another no-look pass vs. Atlanta

If you blinked, you probably missed it. But if you were paying close attention to the Dolphins’ preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons, you probably noticed something a little off about Ryan Fitzpatrick’s rolling throw to DeVante Parker.

As the veteran quarterback rolled to his left to avoid the rush — he zipped a ball into Parker, who went down to the ground to ensure he made the sliding catch into the sideline. Only Fitzpatrick wasn’t looking at Parker. Again.

We say again because Fitzpatrick went viral at the end of organized team activities (OTAs) for rolling to his right, looking away and drilling a throw to a crossing Parker, who toe-tapped in the end zone for a touchdown during the drill.

This is apparently going to be a thing for as long as Fitzpatrick starts for the Dolphins — not that we’re complaining. Fitzpatrick has openly discussed how he thinks he’s playing the best football of his career these days, making him something of a late bloomer by NFL standards. And sure, while that improved play from Fitzpatrick will also make young quarterback Josh Rosen the butt of jokes from fans elsewhere across the league, there’s little denying that Fitzpatrick is cutting it loose and playing an aggressive style of football.

There’s to this no-look pass, the one before it and the one yet to come, Fitzmagic!
