Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler left Sunday's game against the New York Jets in the third quarter because of a chest injury.
Cutler, who has started the past six games as Ryan Tannehill's replacement, was tackled to the ground by Jets linebacker Jordan Jenkins at the end of deep pass to Kenny Stills, which drew a penalty for defensive holding.
Cutler, who completed 12-of-16 passes for 138 yards and threw two touchdowns against the Jets, was walked inside Dolphins locker room shortly after the play, and Matt Moore replaced him as the Dolphins' quarterback.
Moore, who started four games last season after Tannehill suffered his first knee injury, entered the game to cheers from the Hard Rock Stadium crowd, which chanted "We Want Moore" consistently during Miami's home-opening win against the Tennessee Titans earlier this month.
Moore threw an interception on his second series, but later threw two touchdown passes to Kenny Stills in the fourth quarter.
Cutler, a 12 year veteran, has been taking a ton of hits all season because of Miami's poor pass protection. He's missed at least one game because of injury in all but three seasons of his NFL career.
