Dolphins backup quarterback Brock Osweiler will start his fifth straight game in place of injured starter Ryan Tannehill when the team plays its Week 10 game against the Green Bay Packers (3-4-1) on Sunday.
Dolphins coach Adam Gase announced the move on Wednesday.
The Dolphins (5-4) have a 2-2 record under Osweiler, who has completed 63.8 percent of his passes for 1,034 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions in the five games his played in this season.
Tannehill, who continues to nurse a capsule injury to his right shoulder, has already missed four consecutive games since he first suffered the injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
The Dolphins hope Tannehill will return to start in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 25.
The Packers game will be Tannehill's 25th game missed due to injury since Gase became Dolphins coach in 2016. Overall, the Dolphins are 21-20 in 41 games under Gase.
Tannehill has not thrown a pass in the portion of Dolphins practice open to media in the last three weeks.
