Dolphins transformed a beautiful Ayrshire sunset into a spectacular one on Friday evening.
As the region's coastal towns were treated to another stunning skyline, a few visitors made it a memorable end to the day.
Pictures snapped by wild swimmer Samantha Kent at around 6.30pm show what's believed to be bottlenose dolphins breaching the water at Seamill near The Waterside restaurant in North Ayrshire.
According to reports, the pod headed north up the coast towards West Kilbride and Portencross.
Samantha, 25, from Kilwinning wrote on Facebook: "Absolutely unreal.
"Decided to go a swim again tonight and ended up with dolphins nearby!

"They then put on an unbelievable show with jumps and twirls out of the water. My year has now been made."
Samantha told Ayrshire Live: "It was just past the Waterside heading up the Ayrshire Coastal Path.
"A guy had said he had followed them for a bit so they must have come from Ardrossan way and they kept going heading north.

"At the time they were jumping and I got the pictures it was just before 6.30pm."
Reports have also emerged of orcas being seen off the Ayrshire coast this evening too.
Community interest group, Clyde Porpoise – Marine Mammal Project had heard of a killer whale breach in Seamill too.
They posted on Facebook: "Eyes peeled....reports coming in of bottlenose dolphins off Saltcoats again and possible orca breaching off Seamill."
While sightings of orcas in the Firth of Clyde are a bit more rare than dolphins, it's not unprecedented.
In 2016, the Clyde Porpoise – Marine Mammal Project compiled data that showed that the jaw-dropping humpback whale was sighted over 20 times, with two killer whale sightings reported too.
One humpback spotted in the area was dubbed Hamish and cruised along the North Ayrshire coastline, popping up at Largs and Arran in the same year.
