Dolphins nearly 10-point underdogs in Week 10 versus Colts

The Dolphins have logged their first victory of the 2019 season — and considering the rest of their schedule, it may not be their last. But the sports books seem quite certain that Miami’s next victory won’t be coming this week against the Indianapolis Colts, even as the Colts prepare for this game with the status of QB Jacoby Brissett uncertain.

The latest line set for the Dolphins’ Week 10 contest in Indianapolis against the Colts marks Indianapolis favored by a whopping 9.5 points according to BetMGM. Now, this isn’t a 26 point spread or an 18 point spread — both of which the Dolphins have seen at various points throughout this season, but it is still a sizable number especially when taking into consideration the Colts may be leaning on Brian Hoyer to get the job done.

Make no mistake — the Colts are the better team. That is painfully obvious, but they should be. Indianapolis is at a different point in their team’s life-cycle. GM Chris Ballard has done a terrific job since being installed atop the organization and manipulated his draft picks to keep the Colts constantly adding young new talent to a roster that’s been constructed over several seasons.

Miami pulling off an upset would be a stunner — but it shouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that Miami covers a 9.5 point spread, should that number hold through kickoff on Sunday afternoon.
