Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker flips agents

Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker has made a change in his representation this offseason. Baker, who was a third round pick out of Ohio State last year for Miami, is now being represented by mega-agent Drew Rosenhaus — as confirmed by the Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad.

As Schad mentions, Baker’s previous agent was Damarius Bilbo. Bilbo, who also represents Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard, is fresh off of a three month suspension from the NFLPA. The suspension, according to the NFLPA, was for “violations of the Regulations Governing Contract Advisors.

Howard has stood firm with Bilbo, whom he signed with in December of 2018 — just weeks before the suspension was leveed. And with Bilbo having served his three month suspension — it was passed down in early January — the Dolphins can look to make progress towards that new contract for Xavien Howard that all parties involved have been referencing for months.

The team will not have to worry about any ramifications with Baker, however, seeing as how he decided in the absence of his representation to sign with Rosenhaus.
