Dolphins legend Dan Marino helping in aftermath of Hurricane Dorian

With trying times on the gridiron ahead for the 2019 Miami Dolphins, it is nice to have something to be proud of. Leave it to none other than Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino to provide Dolphins fans everywhere with a sense of pride — he’s stepping up to the plate to help the Bahamas in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, which ravaged several islands earlier this month.

How?

Marino is teaming up with RV Advisors to rebuild and ship RV’s over to the Bahamas to be used for temporary housing as the islands begin to pick up the pieces of what is left of their homes.

“We’re looking to help out all the people of the Bahamas and bring some RVs over there loaded with good stuff for them,” said Marino via 7 News WSVN. “That’s the most important thing, and that’s why I’m here.”

Marino’s efforts to help are separate of those of the Dolphins themselves — who held collections for supplies at Hard Rock Stadium this past Sunday and will do so again this weekend for the team’s home game against the New England Patriots. The drive is focused on gathering flashlights/batteries, diapers, baby wipes and feminine hygiene products.
